BRIEF HISTORY
Incorporated by the two directors; Mr. Alok Telang (M.Sc. Organic Chemistry, MBA Finance & General Management) and Mrs. Manasi Telang (Ph.D. Microbiology, NCL Pune), on 23rd August 1999. Rs. 1 lakh capital was given by them in the ratio 70:30 respectively. The existing manufacturing facility at EL-25/5, Ground Floor, ‘J’ Block, MIDC Bhosari, Pune 411026 was started in 2004 by taking over the said unit from Maharashtra State Financial Corporation (MSFC) Pune, by entering into a tri-partite agreement between MSFC, MIDC & the Company
Consequently, Mr. Ramesh Telang (B.Tech – Chemical Engineering, LIT Nagpur), and Mr. Adheesh Telang (B.E. – Mechanical Engineering, COEP Pune) joined in.
Mr Ramesh Telang
Mr Ramesh M Telang, a chemical engineer, is a principal consultant for the company. He has been on board of directors of Garware-Wall Ropes Ltd. (GWRL), the largest polypropylene twine and fishing net manufacturer globally, for many years.
He has been involved with GWRL since the inception of the company (as plant manager) and has been instrumental in building up the organisation from a small Indian venture to the unchallenged global leader in its field. Presently he is on board of directors of GWRL as well as Garware Elastomerics Ltd.
It is his vision about maintaining international quality at local rates that has given the cutting edge to our companies in the market.
Mr Alok Telang
Mr Alok Telang, an MSc in organic chemistry & MBA in Finance, is the Managing Director of Alok Chemicals Pvt .Ltd. very successfully producing niche / speciality chemicals.
ACPL enjoys a reputation of “Solution Providers” by way of “Performance Chemicals” for Textile, Metal-Working, Rubber & now Leather industry. ACPL has more than 400 customers pan India.
Mr Adheesh Telang
Mr Adheesh Telang, a mechanical engineer, has been involved in construction industry as a successful contracting / project management professional in India as well as abroad.
He played a key role in successful delivery of globally largest roll-out for Coca-Cola factories (8 greenfield locations and 5 major expansions within 2 years across India on turnkey basis) and has also lived abroad for many years running highly successful construction business.
So far, Alok Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. has been showing a very healthy and steady growth. Progress is excellent in the area of import substitution and formulations required in textiles, metal working & rubber industry.
